"Force of Nature" by  Allison Leigh Smith is an original oil on aluminum that measures 36" tall by 32" wide.

"Force of Nature" features a red-tailed hawk. Smith's initial intention with the painting was to include one of her signature, designerly patterns in the background. However, the hawk kept begging to be brought forward and featured more as the focal point. The painting is done in a Hudson River School style, bringing a sense of romanticism to both the bird and its habitat.
